BOSTON - On Thursday night, the Boston Celtics family gathered for the Annual Shamrock Gala at the Westin Waterfront in the Seaport District. One day after raising $100k at the Teeing Up for Kids Golf Tournament, The Celtics’ Shamrock Foundation hosted their annual Tip-Off Gala, presented by New England Baptist Hospital.
A black tie affair, it was nice to see the players at a formal event, yet in a relaxed setting. Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward lingered in the press area with Celtics’ ownership. Al Horford and Jayson Tatum joined later. Everyone seemed to make a fuss over the young rookie and he lived up to his shy reputation.
All in all, a very charitable affair to celebrate the tip off of the NBA season. The Celtics really know how to put on a show while always really supporting the community through very unique events.
