Top ‘o th’ mornin’ to ya.
There are so many reasons why we are lucky to have Brad Stevens as our head coach. From his play calling, to his creative basketball solutions, to his calm and cool demeanor that seems to keep everyone on an even keel. But one thing that is often overlooked is his innate feel for hitting exactly the right tone in every challenging situation. I think it is because he’s wise enough to seek out advice from people he admires and trusts.
For example, when Gordon Hayward was injured, he sought out the advice of Frank Vogel who was the coach in Indiana when Paul George went down with his horrific injury.
That may have been the genesis of this first class idea by Brad Stevens.
Coach Stevens tells me Gordon Hayward will rejoin the team and be given the lead on video projects throughout his rehab process. #MILvsBOS

So Hayward gets to be a part of the team, feels engaged in the process, and contributes to the camaraderie and team building with the rest of the Celtics.
I could totally see Hayward getting really into this role and perhaps even planting the seeds of a future coaching career.
Brilliant. I love everything about this and I want Brad Stevens to be the Celtics coach forever.
