Brad Stevens told the media Wednesday before the Celtics’ home game against the Sacramento Kings that Marcus Morris would not make his season debut after missing Boston’s first seven games with knee soreness.
#NEBHInjuryReport: Marcus Morris "did great" in the scrimmage on Monday w/ Maine, says Stevens. He won't play tonight but is inching closer.

Morris reportedly had a good workout today with the team and on Monday with the Maine Red Claws. He will join the Celtics on their road trip that starts in Oklahoma City on Friday night. Stevens said how he expects Morris back sooner rather than later, and even went on to talk about his starting lineup once he has everyone except Gordon Hayward healthy.

The Celtics are the NBA’s top rated defense, and adding Morris into that equation should be very interesting to watch. Tip off for the Celtics and Kings is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST.
