Kyrie Irving suffered minor facial fracture Friday, doubtful for Sunday vs Raptors

The injuries keep on coming for the Celtics, as Kyrie Irving will likely miss the Celtics’ next game against the Toronto Raptors.

The Boston Celtics announced Saturday that star point guard Kyrie Irving suffered a minor facial fracture Friday night against the Hornets after getting hit in the face by Aron Baynes’ elbow. Irving is listed as doubtful to play in the Celtics’ game against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday.

Boston fans did receive some good news though as the Celtics also announced that Al Horford is listed as probable for Sunday after missing the past two games with a concussion.

The Celtics managed to keep their league-best win streak alive without Horford or Irving Friday night, so at least they’ll get back probably their most irreplaceable player in Horford. Toronto will be one of their toughest challenges yet, and it would be a major accomplishment for this Celtics team to extend their winning streak to 12 games. Tip off is as 3:30 EST on Sunday.
