Marcus Morris (knee) ruled out for both Pistons and Bulls matchups

Marcus Morris will miss another game due to a left knee that has certainly given him issues this season.

The Boston Celtics announced Sunday that forward Marcus Morris is ruled out for their upcoming games against the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls with left knee soreness.

Morris missed the first eight games of the regular season due to knee soreness, and also sat out for Boston’s road win in Dallas this past Wednesday. As the injury continues to linger, the Celtics seem to have given Morris extra time to get his knee right sitting out two games.

Brad Stevens will likely go with Aron Baynes to start against Detroit and Chicago, and will look for Marcus Smart and Terry Rozier to pick up the lost bench scoring that Morris brings. The Celtics and Pistons tip off at 4 p.m. EST for a Sunday matinee showdown at Little Caesars Arena, as Boston looks to avenge their loss to this team nearly two weeks ago.
