BOSTON - Prior to the Boston Celtics taking on Utah Jazz, his former team, Gordon Hayward spoke to the media. When asked whether he believed he could return to Celtics this season, Hayward would not rule it out. But he says he is taking it day by day.
Having shed the walking boot, he is now starting to shoot flat-footed. On traveling with the team on road trips, Hayward said he planned to as soon as he was ready. The first hurdle before traveling was to be out of walking boot. Now that he has, fans may start seeing him on road trips as soon as January.
Hayward also again discussed his decision to sign with the Celtics in the offseason. He said he has no regrets but does wish that it hadn’t leaked early.
He also touched on his relationship with his former Jazz teammates, saying that he planned to see them post-game. Specifically, Hayward discussed his relationship with Joe Ingles and Joe Johnson.
