Theis exited the game after taking an elbow to the nose from Ekpe Udoh and did not return. The original word from the Celtics Friday night was that Theis would not travel with the Celtics for their two-game road trip starting in Memphis, but it turns out that the big man will make the trip even though his status is still up in the air.
Reversal of plans: Daniel Theis is on the Celtics plane and will accompany the team to Memphis. No word on whether he'll play tomorrow, but that's a good sign.

The Celtics(24-7) and Grizzlies(9-20) are scheduled to tip off in Memphis at 9 p.m. EST as the Celtics play the second leg of a back-to-back against a struggling Grizzlies squad that is almost always in the western conference playoff picture.
