Jaylen Brown out against Mavericks (eye)

Boston will be without their typical starting shooting guard against Dallas tonight.

NBA: Milwaukee Bucks at Boston Celtics Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

The Boston Celtics announced that Jaylen Brown will miss tonight’s game against the Dallas Mavericks. Brown is sidelined by an inflamed right eye, an injury he sustained via non-basketball related activities.

Boston will be low on wings, as Brown joins Marcus Morris as the second Celtic to be scratched from the team’s tilt with the Mavs.

Brown has started all but one game for the Celtics this year. Marcus Smart is likely to open the game for Boston in his stead.
