Brad Stevens informed reporters at Celtics practice Monday that Isaiah Thomas plans to play in Game 2 Tuesday evening of the Boston Celtics’ first round NBA Playoffs series against the Chicago Bulls.
The Celtics fell to the Bulls 106-102 Sunday, despite a heroic 33-point performance from Thomas the day after his sister passed away in a one-car accident in Federal Way, Washington.
Stevens said Thomas will travel to his hometown of Tacoma, Washington Wednesday after the game to mourn with his family. The Celtics do not play Game 3 in Chicago until Friday evening, so Thomas will fly to Tacoma and then to Chicago before Friday’s game.
IT will fly to Seattle/Tacoma after tomorrow night's game, and will play Friday night in Chicago. Service arrangements for Chyna incomplete.

The team may attend the funeral service before Game 3 according to Stevens, but arrangements have not been finalized.
The team’s feeling toward Thomas were epitomized by Avery Bradley today.
#Celtics Avery Bradley: Took a lot of balls for Isaiah Thomas to go out and play and play way he did last night.
