According to Jeff Goodman of Espn, No.1 prospect Markelle Fultz will be meeting with the Celtics on Monday and then have a workout with the team on Tueseday.
Fultz will meet with the Celtics and also undergo medical testing on Monday, and then will work out for the team on Tuesday morning, a source told ESPN.
Fultz has already reportedly been in contact with Ainge multiple times since the Celtics won the lottery last month, and chances are the Celtics will try to get as much intel on him as possible before making their final decision on draft night.
It has also been reported that Dennis Smith will be working out for the Celtics on June 7th, the day after Markelle Fultz comes in for a visit. Smith is currently slated at no. 10 on the Draftexpress board. It was also reported by Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer that the Celtics worked out lottery prospect Jonathan Issac.
Though neither of these prospects currently project to be top targets for the Celtics, it’s normal to see teams with the top pick get in as much talent as they can for workouts for due dillengce purposes at the least.
