He also has dreams of becoming the president of the NBPA.

Here’s a pretty cool story: Jaylen Brown is hosting a social event in Las Vegas during summer league for the younger players called “Jaylen Brown’s welcome to the NBA night.”

Sounds like he’s got a pretty stacked guest list too. Via The Undefeated

Brown has commitments from the top five picks in the 2017 NBA draft to attend his party: Markelle Fultz of the Philadelphia 76ers, Lonzo Ball of the Los Angeles Lakers, Tatum, Phoenix Suns forward Josh Jackson and Sacramento Kings guard De’Aaron Fox, a source said. Other rookies include Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac, Sacramento Kings center Harry Giles and forward Justin Jackson, and Charlotte Hornets guard Malik Monk. The source added that 2017 NBA Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon and forward Thon Maker of the Milwaukee Bucks, Lakers forward Brandon Ingram, Suns forward Marquese Chriss, Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray, Dallas Mavericks guard Yogi Ferrell and Kings guard Buddy Hield are expected to attend as well.

It seems to me that Jaylen is showing some leadership qualities. He’s already taken rookie Jayson Tatum under his wing, and they’ve developed a quick bond this summer.

We’ve known that Brown is mature for his age, but he seems to be on the fast track to acting like a veteran early in his career. He even has bigger aspirations for mentoring players in the future. The article talks about his desire to be the president of the NBPA someday.

Pretty impressive for the young man.
