BOSTON — The eagle has landed.
The Gordon Hayward pitch meeting started before midnight, when Hayward was greeted by Celtics coach Brad Stevens at the airport, as well as dozens of rabid fans.

Cut to a day later, and the Celtics are using an iconic Boston stadium as the first public stop on the tour. It’s just not their own.

While most people taking tours of Fenway Park get to see behind the scenes, rarely is the space curated for them. The Celtics included a sign for Gordon and his wife Robyn and even a video montage on the Fenway scoreboard, as narrated by an onlooker.
