Here’s the list of Eastern Conference All-Stars from last year (some did not participate due to injury).
- Kyrie Irving
- DeMar DeRozan
- LeBron James
- Jimmy Butler
- Giannis Antetokounmpo
- Isaiah Thomas
- John Wall
- Kevin Love
- Carmelo Anthony
- Kyle Lowry
- Paul George
- Kemba Walker
- Paul Millsap
Of that list, several have already exited the Eastern Conference (George, Millsap, Butler) and some could be on the way out (Melo, Irving?).
In addition to Thomas, the Celtics could be sending Gordon Hayward (who was one of the few stars that went East) and perhaps Al Horford. Dark horses might include Jae Crowder and maybe even Marcus Smart.
One Celtic that won’t be participating in the All-Star game is Brad Stevens. Coaches are selected by the teams in each conference with the best record. However, coaches are not allowed to be selected in consecutive years, regardless of the record.
So how many All-Stars do you think the Celtics will get?
