The official regular season schedule for the NBA hasn’t been released yet, but we’re starting to see a few marquee dates come up. The first of which is that the Celtics will be taking on the Sixers in London on January 11th in O2 Arena. The Celtics have never played in a regular season game in London.

The Sixers are slated as the home team in this game, so Boston will not be losing any games at the TD Garden this season. While it’s the first time the Celtics will play in London, they have played an international game before. The most recent case was when they took on the Sacramento Kings in Mexico City in the 2015-16 season and came out with a convincing victory.

Celtics team President Rich Gotham stated that, “We’re happy to play our rivals the 76ers in front of London’s fans, and look forward to the exciting atmosphere at the O2.”
