In his senior season at Syracuse, White averaged 18.5 points and 4.6 rebounds while shooting 40% from three. He most recently played in the Las Vegas Summer League with the Cleveland Cavaliers where he averaged 7.0 points and 2.4 rebounds while shooting 50% from three in five games.
It is likely a camp deal for White. Possibly some guaranteed money (<$50k) with an eye on him being an affiliate player in NBAGL with Maine. https://t.co/09Rj4ERJN4

According to Keith Smith, White shares an agent with Kadeem Allen and ex-Celtic big man Jordan Mickey, which likely helped in the signing.
Smith also stated that the White is now the 17th player under contract for the Celtics, which doesn’t include two-way players Allen and Jabari Bird. Who knows what the Celtics have in plan for White, but he’ll provide more competition in training camp with the other rookies on the Boston roster. Maybe he’ll be in green just in time for next week’s informal practices and workouts with some of the young players returning to Waltham.
