Celtics new “statement” uniforms leaked via video game

In case you missed the news, Nike took over the job of creating the NBA’s uniforms. News has been leaking slowly as teams unveil their new uniforms. The home and away uniforms (now called The Association edition and The Icon edition, ...for some reason) have already been released and for most teams they look mostly the same.

There will be two new alternate uniforms for each team unveiled over time but due to a video game release, it looks like we have a sneak peak of all 30 of the “Statement Edition” uniforms (basically the 3rd uniform style).

It is pretty sad that we won’t be seeing that exact number being worn this year, but the uniforms themselves are pretty nice. This isn’t that different from the black and green uniforms that the team has worn in the past. Anything would be an upgrade over the grey sleeved ones though.

Stay tuned for one more uniform version to be released whenever Nike and the Celtics feel like drumming up some more PR.
