Brad Stevens said Marcus Morris will play Saturday in Brooklyn after sitting out tonight vs. Wolves.— Chris Forsberg (@ESPNForsberg) January 5, 2018
Aron Baynes in the starting lineup vs. Minnesota.
Friday will be the 22nd game Morris has missed this season due to soreness in his left knee. Morris had participated in the last three games for the Celtics, playing a vital role in their comeback win against the Rockets, and their New Year’s eve victory over Brooklyn.
With the upcoming back-to-back, the Celtics chose to give him the night off before playing in Boston’s final game before their trip to London where they take on the Philadelphia 76ers.
Aron Baynes is slated to start against the Timberwolves, which is probably necessary given the size of Minnesota’s front court.
The Celtics and Timberwolves tip off at 7 p.m. EST in the TD Garden as Boston hopes to take out one of the NBA’s top teams and old friend Tom Thibodeau.
