Al Horford said he will play in Thursday's game in London against the Philadelphia 76ers. He missed the last game with knee soreness. Marcus Morris will also play without a minutes restriction for the first time this season.— Keith Smith (@KeithSmithNBA) January 9, 2018
Al Horford missed the Celtics’ win over the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday after bumping into Karl-Anthony Towns Friday and injuring his left knee. He wore a brace and finished out that game, but sat out before the team went overseas. Having Horford back at full strength should be a relief for the team and its fans.
Marcus Morris seems to have hit a milestone in his recovery from a sore left knee he’s been dealing with since the preseason. Morris has played in 21 of the Celtics’ 43 games this season, and getting off a minutes restriction is a step in the right direction towards playing every night.
The Celtics and Sixers tip off in London on Thursday at 3 p.m. EST.
