The Boston Celtics announced on Monday afternoon that the team has signed guard Marcus Georges-Hunt and waived Justin Bibbs. Releasing Bibbs creates room for Georges-Hunt on the training camp roster.

As reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, this deal was in the works over the last week or so, but now it is official.
Georges-Hunt appeared in 42 games last season for the Minnesota Timberwolves, averaging 1.4 points per game, while 43.8% from the field. Georges-Hunt has been productive during his time in the G-League, posting a line of 16.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game in 46 total contests. The Georgia Tech product averaged 15.8 points for the Red Claws during the 2016-17 season.
