Is Walt Lemon Jr. the next Quinn Cook

Right now Jabari Bird's future with the Celtics seems very much in limbo.

It seems unlikely that Bird will play for the Celtics this season. If the Celtics do cut him-- that would leave a roster spot open and Walt Lemon Jr. maybe the guy to take it.

They both played four years at major NCAA programs- Cook/Duke and Lemon Jr./Bradley. While they had minutes limited their freshman years-- they have three years of significant minutes for both teams.

They both excelled in the GNBA and had respectable summer league performances.

During the pre-season Lemon Jr. had some nice plays-- but generally they were against other GNBA players at the end of the Cavs or Hornets roster.

If he pans out Lemon Jr. could be a key contributor in 2019-2020. Rozier almost certainly will be traded or signed by another team next year. The Celtics will need a cheep third string point guard behinds Irving and Smart.
