BRIGHTON - Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens spoke about Daniel Theis’ injury on Monday afternoon after the team’s practice at the Auerbach Center. Theis was ruled out indefinitely with a slight plantar fascia tear in his right foot.

Stevens seemed to be relatively optimistic about Theis’ timeline on Monday. “The indefinite timeline sounds worse than the timeline we’ve been given,” said Stevens. “It’s not going to be season derailing or anything like that. We’ll see how we progresses over the next few weeks and then the next steps will be determined, but they think it’ll be a pretty recovery, which is fortunate.” The Celtics head coach added that surgery is not in the cards for Theis.

Check out everything Stevens said after practice on Monday, including his reaction to the Boston Red Sox World Series victory.
