Update: Aron Baynes is now listed as probable for tomorrow night’s game against the Detroit Pistons per the team. This comes shortly after Baynes told media that he was 100 percent following the team’s Monday afternoon practice.
BRIGHTON - Boston Celtics Aron Baynes said on Monday afternoon that he is 100 percent after missing three straight games due to a hamstring injury.
“(I’m) 100 percent of what I can be,” said Baynes. “I feel good. ... It’s about waiting for them to give me full clearance. I’m a bull out of the gates.”
Head coach Brad Stevens said that Baynes is “doing great.” He added that there is a chance the center plays tomorrow night against the Detroit Pistons. The plan is for Baynes to be evaluated on Monday afternoon and for the medical staff to make a decision “later today.”
The Celtics will welcome Baynes’ return after it was announced on Monday that center Daniel Theis is out indefinitely with a right foot injury.
