Two weeks ago, Theis was ruled out indefinitely due to a slight tear in his right plantar fascia. The initial plan was for the German big man to be in a walking boot for two weeks, but it became clear that he was ahead of schedule when he was seen taking flat footed jump shots earlier this week in Phoenix.
Head coach Brad Stevens said that Theis will be available for limited minutes if needed on Sunday night.

Prior to his injury, Theis averaged 6 points and 3.4 rebounds across 5 games.
