Marcus Morris (illness) available against Toronto

Morris missed Wednesday’s game against Chicago with an illness.

Marcus Morris will return to the lineup tonight for the Boston Celtics against the Toronto Raptors after missing Wednesday night’s contest against the Chicago Bulls with an illness. Prior to today, Morris had been ruled as questionable against Toronto, but his status has received an upgrade.

Morris’ presence will be needed against Toronto and their superstar forward Kawhi Leonard. The Celtics played the first game of the season series in Toronto on October 19th as the second game of the season, losing 113-101. Although the score wasn’t close in the end, this was helped by an unhampered run by the Raptors in the closing minutes. As a division rival and a possible Eastern Conference Finals opponent, the Celtics will look to even the score tonight.

Marcus Morris has gotten off to a great start this season, averaging a career-high 14.8 points to go along with a career-high 6.8 assists on a career-high 50.4% shooting percentage from the field and a career-high 48% from 3. In case you didn’t notice, Morris has had a career year.

The 8-6 Celtics take on the Raptors tonight on ESPN, tipping off at 7PM EST.
