Brown did not return to the game, but told reporters that the x-rays came back negative. The Celtics initially listed the 22-year-old as doubtful for Monday’s game in New Orleans, but downgraded him to out at the team’s morning shootaround.
Head coach Brad Stevens confirmed that x-rays came back negative, but said on Monday that Brown is “very sore” from the fall. Stevens added that the team will determine who is starting in Brown’s place closer to game time.
The Celtics and Pelicans tip-off from Smoothie King Center at 8:00 PM EST.
