WASHINGTON D.C. - Boston Celtics wing Jaylen Brown will miss Wednesday night’s matchup with the Washington Wizards due to illness, the team announced shortly before the game at Capital One Arena. Gordon Hayward is sick as well, and did not make the trip with the team. One might assume that Brown has caught the same bug.

Brown is the latest addition to the Celtics’ lengthy injury report that includes Hayward, Al Horford, and Guerschon Yabusele. Aron Baynes was questionable heading into Wednesday’s matchup, but head coach Brad Stevens announced that he would return to the lineup and start against Washington. Stevens added that Baynes minutes would be closely monitored, despite their shorthanded backcourt.

The Celtics and Wizards tip-off from Capital One Arena at 7:00 PM EST.
