After coming down hard on his ankle in an unnatural way last Thursday against the New York Knicks, Aron Baynes will miss tonight’s bout between the Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls with a sprained ankle as the 14-10 Celtics look to extend their 4-game winning streak.

Even the toughest of vikings need time to recover sometimes. All things considered, Baynes being where he is in his recovery timetable is a good sign. He limped off the court and straight to the locker room pretty quickly after the injury was sustained, and the injury in question looked pretty bad in the instant replay view.
While unfortunate, this situation does present a silver lining: more minutes for Robert Williams III, affectionately referred to as “Timelord.” Williams III has had a few highlights in high-energy minutes, and after missing Thursday’s game for the birth of his daughter, a game against the Bulls and Wendell Carter could be another opportunity for him to show the world what he can do. Additionally, Daniel Theis and Guerschon Yabusele will also get increased opportunities to contribute to the team.
The Celtics are in Chicago to take on the 6-20 Bulls at 8PM EST tonight.
