WALTHAM - The Boston Celtics held practice on Thursday afternoon before flying to Houston on Friday. This came less than 24 hours after the Celtics blew out the Charlotte Hornets at TD Garden, 134-106. We were able to hear from Brad Stevens, Aron Baynes, and Marcus Smart following the workout.
Coach Stevens addressed Daniel Theis’ hamstring injury that kept him out of Wednesday night’s game. The German big man went through additional testing today, and Stevens said that, “Our plan of attack prior to the testing is that he would travel (to Houston Friday).” His status for Saturday’s game remains uncertain.
Stevens, Baynes, and Smart were all asked to comment on James Harden’s vicious drop of Clippers wing Wesley Johnson. Some were more talkative than others. All of this and more can be heard below.
