The Boston Celtics announced Sunday that Al Horford will miss the team’s home game against the Indiana Pacers due to an illness.

The specifics of the illness were not made clear, but the Celtics will now be without two starters with Jaylen Brown’s concussion. Brad Stevens has not made any statements on the status of his starting lineup for the game, but it should make for an interesting subplot to this one.
This game should have a significant effect on the eastern conference playoff race with Boston sitting three games behind the Toronto Raptors for the one seed, while Indiana is only half a game behind Cleveland for third place.
The Celtics and Pacers tip off at 7:30 p.m. EST in TD Garden as the shorthanded Celtics will get a look at a potential playoff opponent.
