Those hoping for good news on the injury front will have to wait a little longer. Kyrie Irving will have a procedure done on his knee. Per the Celtics PR announcement:

The Boston Celtics announced today that guard Kyrie Irving will tomorrow undergo a minimally invasive procedure to alleviate irritation in his left knee. Further information will be provided following tomorrow’s procedure, and the team will have no further comment until that time.

No timetable has been set for his return. While it is being termed “minimally invasive” it is hard to tell what kind of recovery time would be necessary. It is possible that they are doing the procedure right away in order to get him back on the court for the playoffs.

We’ll have more updates as they become available.
