The Milwaukee Bucks are not necessarily a one man team. But there is one man on that team you need to pay a lot of attention to. The Greek Freak. Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Antetokounmpo averaged 27.1 points and 10 rebounds a game this season, but those numbers spiked considerably every time he faced Boston. In four games between the two teams the Freak had his way with Celtics defenders to the tune of 33.5 PPG on 54 percent shooting.
The shorthanded Celtics will have their hands full. In the four games this season the Celtics tried all sorts of combinations to slow down the Freak, none of which seemed to work very well. Expect Jaylen Brown, Al Horford, Aron Baynes and Semi Ojeleye to rotate through in an attempt to slow down Antetokounmpo and keep him from taking over the series singlehandedly.
“It’s going to be a team effort,” Celtics Center Baynes said. “It’s not one man’s job. It’s four or five men on a string. We got to all be playing defense and build from that. He’s very talented, and he’s a great player so we’re going to have to lock in and do a job collectively on him.”
So, how will the C’s stop Giannis?
