The Celtics dug themselves into another deep hole in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference series against the Bucks. This time they pulled out of it but is still wasn’t enough as the C’s went down 104-102 the final. The series now even at two games apiece.

The Celtics, who were blown out in Game 3 in Milwaukee, fell behind by as many as 20 in Game 4 only to come all the way back and take a one point lead 100-99 with under a minute to play.

But the Bucks pulled ahead as a Giannis Antentokounmpo tip-in broke a 102 tie. Marcus Morris got a good look but his tying attempt rimmed out at the buzzer.

Brad Stevens said that was the look the Celtics wanted.

“Brogdon jumped out and switched,” he said. “Morris read it right. Morris got up a really good look. I felt really good about that with five seconds in the game.”

Jaylen Brown led the Celtics offensively scoring a game high 34 points on 13-for-24 shooting and 5-of-8 from behind the arc.

Celtics rookie Jayson Tatum was terrific in the second half where he scored 18 of his21 points. His jumper late in the game gave the Celtics a short lived 100-99 lead. Al Horford was impressed by the kids but disappointed in the loss.
