Celtics Practice Report: Jaylen Brown looking forward to Game 5

The Boston Celtics held practice on Monday, where we heard from Brad Stevens, Jayson Tatum, and Jaylen Brown

WALTHAM - The Boston Celtics held practice on Monday afternoon in Waltham following their Game 4 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. Afterwards, Brad Stevens, Jayson Tatum, and Jaylen Brown met with the media to discuss their upcoming Game 5 matchup.

Stevens gave no update on the potential return of Marcus Smart, but had good things to say about his team’s Game 4 performance, despite being on the losing end. “We’re ready to play Game 5,” said Stevens. “We did a lot of great things in Game 4... I was encouraged by why I saw.” The Celtics head coach also noted Brown’s performance, saying that he was the reason Boston was in Sunday’s game.

Less than 24 hours after his 34-point performance in Milwaukee, Brown was the last player on the floor, shooting 45 minutes after the Celtics practice had concluded. He seemed quite excited to return home and play in front of the TD Garden crowd. “Playing in front of your home crowd, they can almost be like the best sixth man in the league.” He also commented on the expedited development of rookie Jayson Tatum, saying that he is “ahead of the curve”.
