The Boston Celtics have decided to rest Al Horford and Jayson Tatum for their game against the Chicago Bulls Friday night.
#NEBHInjuryReport for tonight’s game vs. @chicagobulls:
— Boston Celtics (@celtics) April 6, 2018
Horford (rest) - OUT
Larkin (illness) - AVAILABLE
Tatum (rest) - OUT
Hayward, Irving, Smart and Theis all remain out.
Following their loss to Toronto Wednesday night, the Celtics are now three games behind the Raptors for the top seed in the eastern conference and 4.5 games up on Cleveland, who holds the third seed going into tonight.
Boston is all but locked in to the two seed for this year’s postseason, so they will look to rest their remaining starters ahead of the postseason that starts next weekend. The Celtics’ likely starters will feature a combination of Terry Rozier, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Morris, Aron Baynes, and most likely Shane Larkin.
Larkin missed the last three games with an illness, and should get significant minutes with Horford and Tatum resting.
The Celtics and Bulls tip off at 7:30 EST in Boston.
