WALTHAM - The Boston Celtics held shootaround on Wednesday morning ahead of Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Brad Stevens, Jayson Tatum, and Marcus Smart spoke to the media just prior to the workout.
Stevens is considering a change to the team’s starting lineup, saying that he’ll go through the “same contemplations as always.” He also gave a brief update on the status of point guard Shane Larkin, saying that he guesses he’ll be “out” for tonight’s Game 5. Jayson Tatum spoke to the media for the first time since being named First Team All-Rookie and discussed the honor. “It’s a big accomplishment. Coming into the season, it’s something I wanted to accomplish. I wanted to prove that I belong to be in this league. It’s been a great year, fortunate to be on the team that I’m on.”
Marcus Smart was focused on Wednesday night’s Game 5, saying that he’s confident in the Celtics’ ability to win two out of the next three. “We feel like we can win the best of 3. Feel like we’re a good team, we have the pieces to do it. It’s just about going out there and doing it.”
