WALTHAM - The Boston Celtics held a shootaround on Wednesday morning less than 12 hours before Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals tips off at TD Garden. Just before Brad Stevens and Terry Rozier spoke to the media, it was announced that Shane Larkin would miss Wednesday’s Game 5 with a left shoulder sprain.
Stevens elaborated on this news, saying that Larkins shoulder is “very, very sore.” The Celtics head coach added that he is, “Out tonight and for the foreseeable future... I don’t anticipate him back any time soon.”
Terry Rozier discussed Larkin’s absence, stating that they’ve done this all season long. Unfortunate as it is, they’ll have to step up and move forward once again. “We had to get Game 1 without Jaylen Brown, so the story continues. That’s just the way it goes.”
The Celtics and 76ers tip off tonight from TD Garden at 8:00 PM ET.
