The NBA has released the schedule for the 2018 MGM Resorts NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. The Boston Celtics schedule is as follows:
- Friday, 7/6/18 7:30 PM EST (ESPN) - Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76ers
- Saturday, 7/7/18 11:00 PM EST (NBATV) - Boston Celtics vs Denver Nuggets
- Monday, 7/9/18 7:00 PM EST (ESPN2) - Boston Celtics vs Charlotte Hornets
Boston will then play at least two games in tournament play. Tournament play begins on Wednesday, 7/11/18 and continues through to the championship game on Tuesday, 7/17/18.
2018 marks the first year all 30 NBA teams will take part in the Las Vegas Summer League.
The Celtics roster is expected to include Semi Ojeleye, Guerschon Yabusele, Kadeem Allen and whoever Boston selects in the 2018 NBA Draft on 6/21/18. Jabari Bird has announced he is planning to play for the Celtics during the summer, but his restricted free agency could hold up that process. Danny Ainge recently announced that Jayson Tatum will not play after a long rookie season. Abdel Nader is not expected to play either, after recently undergoing surgery on his right wrist.
After several years playing in a secondary summer league in Utah, sponsored by the Jazz, Boston has shifted gears and will play only in Las Vegas this summer.
