In the heat of Draft season, second workouts are usually quite notable, and the 6’6” shooting guard out of Cincinnati, Jacob Evans, has two of them coming up.
As draft week commences, former Cincinnati star Jacob Evans will have workouts with The Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors, League sources tell The Salt Lake Tribune. For Evans, it will be his second workout for both franchises.

Jacob Evans averaged 13 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists last season as a Junior, shooting 43% from the field, 37% from the 3-point line and 75% from the free-throw line. As a sophomore the year before, Evans peaked with shooting highs of 47% from the field and 42% from the 3-point line. The Cincinnati guard is a solid defender and shows his athleticism on both ends, but he’s not known as a shot creator.
The Celtics own just the 27th pick, and Austin Ainge admitted that the team has narrowed down their options to about 10 prospects. Evans has been projected in the range of late first round to the second round. With him getting a second workout, this might be an indication that Evans is one of the prospects Ainge is taking a look at with the team’s lone selection this year.
