Brown played just 19 games during his sophomore season, missing the final 12 contests due to a left foot injury. He averaged 11.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.0 assists. During his freshman campaign, Brown posted a line of 11.8-5.6-3.2 in 33 games. The Boston native is a physical guard who can defend multiple positions thanks to his aggressiveness. Brown is also a terrific rebounder with good court vision and passing ability. Keith Smith described him as “gritty” and “tough-minded”, saying that he fits the profile of many past Celtics picks.
Brown fits the profile of what the Celtics have targeted in the past around where they are picking in the first round: Good all-around on offense, solid defender, tough-minded, gritty and hard worker.

Brown fits in the mold of Avery Bradley, Terry Rozier and Marcus Smart.
The Celtics have the 27th pick on Thursday night as their lone selection.
