Bruce Brown to have second workout with the Celtics

The 6’5” guard will get another workout with Boston just days ahead of the NBA Draft.

NCAA Basketball: Miami at Georgia Tech Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

With less than a week to go before Thursday’s NBA Draft, CelticsBlog’s Keith Smith reported that Miami guard Bruce Brown will have a second workout with the Boston Celtics.

Brown played just 19 games during his sophomore season, missing the final 12 contests due to a left foot injury. He averaged 11.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.0 assists. During his freshman campaign, Brown posted a line of 11.8-5.6-3.2 in 33 games. The Boston native is a physical guard who can defend multiple positions thanks to his aggressiveness. Brown is also a terrific rebounder with good court vision and passing ability. Keith Smith described him as “gritty” and “tough-minded”, saying that he fits the profile of many past Celtics picks.

The Celtics have the 27th pick on Thursday night as their lone selection.
