The Boston Celtics were awesome this year. They’ve also run out of Nets picks and the Lakers pick ended up being protected (kicked to next year for a Kings or Sixers pick). So that means that the Celtics will be picking really late in the NBA Draft. 27th to be exact.
So who should the Celtics be picking at that spot? We’ll just have to wait and see how it plays out.
Here is a listing of mock drafts from several major outlets. The following outlets have the Celtics picking these players:
- ESPN: Josh Okogie
- SBNation: Donte DiVincenzo
- Bleacher Report: Jacob Evans
- Sports Illustrated: Bruce Brown
- Tankathon: Kevin Huerter
Just the fact that each mock has someone different going to the Celtics should highlight the fact that there’s no consensus this late in the draft.
If you’d like to do some quick research, you could check our our old friend Greg Cassoli’s aggregated scouting reports for several of the players that could be available in that range.
There are no right answers to the question this early in the process, but please share with the class who your favorite players are for the Celtics to select at number 27.
