It looks like the Kadeem Allen era in Boston will be coming to an end. According to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe, the Celtics intend on releasing the 25-year old from his two-way contract to make room for another player.
It’s unclear who the Celtics will go after with their next two-way contract, but chances are they’ll be looking got a player with a bit more upside. The 25-year old Allen came into the league with a defensive reputation but its the offensive end that has left much to be desired. Allen’s contract becomes fully guaranteed on July 15th, so his final game as a Celtic may be the teams 2nd round Summer league game against the Miami Heat.
