After a very successful sophomore campaign, Jaylen Brown has been jet-setting all over the globe. From Paris Fashion Week to the forests of Bali to NBA Summer League, the young Boston Celtics star has maintained his title of coolest 21-year-old on the planet. If you don’t follow Brown on Instagram, I highly recommend it, as I’ve been living vicariously through him since early June. I can say with 100% certainty: it’s been a real fun time.
So without further ado, let’s dive into Jaylen Brown’s summer thus far through a series of photos.
We begin in Los Angeles, California, where Jaylen rocks a Supreme shoulder bag with Supreme goggles. At the surface, goggles may seem like a questionable fashion choice, but man, if anyone can pull them off, it’s the 6’7 swingman from Marietta, Georgia.
This picture of Jaylen with a Rolls Royce was posted a week later, but if you match those outfits, they appear to be from the same night in L.A. You know what they say, nothing goes together like a Rolls Royce and goggles...or something like that.
Three days later, we see Jaylen at an undisclosed location, presumably still in Los Angeles. Or maybe he’s in New York. Actually he could literally be anywhere, so I’ll stop guessing. He’s in a group that includes Odell Beckham Jr., Eric Moreland, and Christian Combs (Diddy’s son), while wearing an outfit that makes me feel cool from just looking at it. Also, since when does Jaylen Brown hang out with OBJ and P. Diddy’s kid? What a crew.
One day later, Jaylen is in New York, because that’s what jet-setters do. He’s wearing an “off-white” outfit. I’d probably call it a groufit, but that’s why I’m not a fashion icon like our beloved, trendsetting wing. If I wore something like this, my friends would absolutely roast me. For reference: If a fit is off white, that doesn’t mean it’s beige...
Jaylen is still in New York City here, alongside Christian Combs once again. His sweater game is off the charts. That’s all I have here. Not much else needs to be said.
Now it starts to get really good. Jaylen is in Dallas, Texas, hanging out with Ezekiel Elliott and 21 Savage. Why? Because he’s Jaylen Brown. (21 Savage is also from the Atlanta area so that definitely has something to do with it.) I wonder what they talked about. I’d love to be a fly on the wall in that room. I’ll just assume they were discussing Ben Simmons’ lack of a jump shot.
Ok, so this might be peak Jaylen Brown. He’s at Paris Fashion Week 2018, hanging out with James Harden, Carmelo Anthony, A$AP Ferg, PJ Tucker, Serge Ibaka, and Maison Valentino. I mean, c’mon. He’s a 21-year-old acting like he’s been in the game for decades. THIS MAN IS AN ICON.
Two more posts from Paris Fashion Week. Two more posts to further prove how cool Jaylen Brown is.
Let’s not forget Jaylen’s full time job is basketball. He travels from Paris to Georgia to dominate Atlanta’s top Pro-Am. Him and Lou Williams put on a scoring clinic while playing against one another, and Jaylen confirms that yes, one can simultaneously succeed as a fashion icon and basketball player.
AND he has time for summer camp? What can’t this guy do?
Next, Jaylen heads to Las Vegas, Nevada for the 2018 NBA Summer League. Here, he supported the Celtics’ Summer League team, worked out with Brad Stevens, and hosted an NBA Players’ Association networking event at a bowling alley. He’s a Swiss army knife I tell you. A 21-year-old, 6-foot-7, SWISS ARMY KNIFE.
Jaylen flies from Vegas to Houston, Texas to continue building his game. He works out with Tracy McGrady, which is so, so cool. I don’t care how good/established you already are - if you’re a 21-year-old working out with T-Mac, that’s awesome.
Now he’s hanging out with Gucci Mane, another Georgia-born rapper. All of this celebrity association should now feel normal.
Side note: whoever takes all of these pictures of Jaylen out and about deserves a raise, in my humble opinion.
As we speak, Jaylen Brown is in Indonesia. Where specifically? Well, if you’ve learned anything in the past 670 words and 20-plus Instagram posts, it’s that Jaylen Brown is always on the move, and you’re probably better off enjoying the ride rather than asking questions.
So yes, the Celtics 21-year-old swingman has done an insane amount of traveling over the last 8 weeks, and remains ridiculously cool. Be on the lookout for more @FCHWPO Instagram posts, who knows where he’ll be next.
