Monroe joins the Celtics’ division rival after playing 26 games in Boston this past season. He averaged 10.2 points and 6.3 rebounds per game over that span. This came after the Georgetown product spent 5 and 20 games in Milwaukee and Phoenix, respectively.
He’ll arrive in Toronto looking to help them fill the absence of now-Spur Jakob Poeltl. The Raptors were in search of some low-cost depth in their frontcourt, and they’ve found their man in Monroe. He’ll serve as a backup to Jonas Valanciunas.
