Morris injured his neck on Wednesday night in the Celtics win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Celtics forward exited the game during the fourth quarter and said during his postgame availability that his neck was sore, but he hoped it would feel better on Thursday. Morris was originally listed as questionable before being downgraded on Friday afternoon.
Williams was also listed as questionable with a strained left groin before being downgraded to out on Friday afternoon. This will be the Texas A&M product’s fifth absence in a row.
Boston will be extremely thin tonight, as they’ll also be without Kyrie Irving and Aron Baynes.
The Celtics and Mavericks tip off at 8:00 PM EST.
