With the Boston Celtics getting prepared for an Eastern Conference tilt with the rival Philadelphia 76ers Thursday night, Brad Stevens will have a couple of different options at his dispoal.
Rookies Tremont Waters and Tacko Fall are on the active roster for the C’s, while Romeo Langford and Carsen Edwards have been optioned to the Maine Red Claws.
Gordon Hayward will also be available for the Celtics as it was unclear at first whether he would play due to a facial contusion he sustained Wednesday night late in the loss to the Indiana Pacers. Stevens told the media that Hayward felt “great” earlier in the day.

While all indications have Hayward starting and seeing his normal dose of minutes, Waters and Fall might be a break in case of emergency option for Stevens.
Marcus Smart when to see eye specialist today. Tremont Waters is active tonight with Celtics along with Tacko. Both unlikely to play, according to Stevens.

Waters, who has spent most of this season in the G-League, has played in only one game for the Celtics coming in a 103-102 home win over the Sacramento Kings on Nov. 25. In that contest, the 5-foot-10 Waters played almost 20 minutes and scored seven points on 2-of-7 shooting while also dishing out three assists.
While Tacko Fall has been around the team recently rehabbing an injury, his only game action for the C’s came in the third game of the season during a blowout win over the New York Knicks. The 7-foot-5 Fall played just three minutes in garbage time, scoring four points and grabbing three rebounds.
