Yesterday Danny Ainge indicated that Aron Baynes will be out a couple more weeks with his foot contusion. In fact, it could be longer (per Bulpett’s notebook).
“Maybe a little more, but we just don’t want to take any chances with him,” president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said. “His foot’s still sore, but trying to figure when guys are going to come back is always a little bit of a guess. Aron came back much quicker from his hand than we thought, and this one was a little more involved. And because it’s his foot and he weighs 270 pounds, it’s a little more risky to get him out on the court.”
He’s very much missed on the court, as Sean Grande points out.

NBC Boston elaborates:
There is no set date for his return to game action, and the Celtics need him back as soon as possible. They are 4-4 since Baynes went out with his foot contusion, and Boston has several tough matchups coming up on its schedule over the next two weeks, including games against the Houston Rockets, Toronto Raptors and Golden State Warriors.
Get well soon Aron. We’ll need you for the long haul.
