TD GARDEN — It’s long been assumed that 2019 would be the ‘Summer of Anthony Davis.’ The All-NBA forward has demanded a trade and teams are expected to line up at the Pelicans doorstep this offseason to make their best offers.

Sierra Goodwill, Jimmy Toscano and Josie Pavon discuss what happens on the off chance Davis does stay in New Orleans.

Griffin was the Cavaliers general manager during their 2016 NBA championship and was able to bring LeBron James back home from the Miami Heat. He believes he can convince Davis to stick around. He has not yet spoken with Davis but has talked to his agent Rich Paul about a plan moving forward.
“Rich Paul and I were part of succeeding,” Griffin said. “They will understand when I say this, ‘You are either all the way or all the way out.’”
The Pelicans president Gayle Benson is also open to the possibility of Davis changing his mind and staying in New Orleans.
“We certainly don’t want somebody here whose heart isn’t in it, but hopefully, Anthony will have a change of heart, and if he does, we’ll welcome him back with open arms. We’d like for him to stay if everybody agrees to it,” Pelicans owner Gayle Benson said about the situation,
