After defeating the Miami Heat 110-105 on Monday night, the Boston Celtics are preparing for a rematch tonight in Miami as they go for the sweep of the home-and-home series. They’ll likely be even more shorthanded, however.
Marcus Morris (knee) told me he’s out tonight.

Marcus Morris has played in 73 games this year, starting in 53 of them. Recently, Brad Stevens has leaned more toward Aron Baynes in the starting lineup, though he did note that the starters will fluctuate depending on matchup. Morris was a big part of turning the season around after a 10-10 start, but in recent months, the coaching staff has tried to find another way to rejuvenate the team once again.
Jaylen Brown missed Monday night’s contest against the Heat with back spasms and will most likely sit out tonight’s game as well according to Brad Stevens.

Brad Stevens emphasized that health is the most important thing entering into the playoffs as well as answers for the team’s struggles, so getting adequate rest and letting players heal properly is the right move.
Boston takes on the Heat in Miami tonight at 7:30PM EST.
