The Boston Celtics selected forward Grant Williams out of the University of Tennessee with the 22nd pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Williams is a 6’7’’ forward and averaged 18.8 points per game as a junior for the Volunteers. He pulled down 7.5 rebounds per game and shot 56.4% from the field.
Williams hasn’t shown off much range, but has good form on his jumper and shot 81.9% from the free throw line in his last year at Tennessee.
CelticsBlog Max Carlin had Grant Williams rated 4th overall on his big board and provides and extensive breakdown of his game here.
Boston has three more remaining selections at 24 and 33 (after a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers) and 51.
