“Good things come from to those who wait, but only the things left to those who hustle.” That basically the summarizes the back end of the NBA Draft, particularly at #51. With their final pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics selected sophomore Tremont Waters out of LSU.

In two seasons in Baton Rouge, Waters 15.6 points, 5.9 assists, and 2.5 steals. He’s a waterbug of a point guard, but despite being 5’11, was the SEC Defensive Player of the Year and made All-SEC First Team with now fellow teammate, Grant Williams.
Waters worked out twice at The Auerbach Center, including a last minute look just before the draft.
